July 10, 2010 was the beginning of our new life together! We couldn't image that day to have been any more perfect. We are overjoyed by God's blessings and by the love and support from our family and friends!
Since the wedding we...
-Honeymooned in California's Sonoma County where we drove through the countryside, canoed on the
Russian River, wined and dined at lovely bistros, and enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Windrose Cottages!
-The relaxing effects of the beautiful lifestyle of the area was just what we needed. Kristin had just finished
her 6-month Music Therapy Internship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL and
Adam was getting prepared for the next BIG step...Medical School! We both needed the time to relax
and celebrate that which God had put together!
- When we returned from the honeymoon.....life had not stopped.....we hit the ground running with only 1
week to get moved into our new home in Columbia before Adam started orientation week. Walking into
our new home together for the first time was a moment we will never forget! What a blessing this life is!
- Adam started med. school and we have yet to miss a night to have dinner together! We are very lucky that
Kristin is working on her Master's in Neurological Music Therapy which keeps us on the same schedule.
- We love our lovely dinners together and bike rides around Columbia and up to get groceries!
- We learned this weekend NOT to go towards the Mizzou Stadium with you want to ride your bike!
There was a home game this weekend and it was certainly a site to see!
- Over Labor Day weekend Kristin's parents held a wedding reception in Illinois for those that couldn't make
the wedding. It was a huge success! We had family and friends from all over come and help us celebrate!
We were again overjoyed by the turnout and support from those around us! We are truly grateful!
- We just recently celebrated our 2 month anniversary and we can both say it has been the best 2 months of
our lives!
- We have found a lovely UCC Church that we are attending and have been recruited to sing in the choir and
Kristin is also playing in the bell choir...she was also recruited to play the guitar as accompaniment.
- We lost our 2 Oranda Goldfish (Vino and Merlot) to ammonia poisoning! A sad day!
- Kristin has topped the summer off with a 1/2 marathon running schedule!
- Adam has been specifically praised by his classmates at his interactive abilities for objective presentations
and by his professors for his consistent diligence with his objectives and in his manner of interviewing!
* Kristin is a very proud wife of her husband and has had the opportunity to make lovely treats (healthy
blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls) for Adam's PBL group!
- Adam is currently beginning his 8th week of class and next week will begin test week!
- Kristin just finished her first Master's Exam in Physiology on Friday and is beginning her Master's Thesis!
- Needless to say our schedule looks something like this:
study, study, study....dinner.....study, study, study..........prayers and goodnight kisses.........
study, study,study........................so on and so forth!
*We are specifically overjoyed by the blessing we have received! We truly are living on loans and love and truly grateful for this time of simplicity!
